Getting Ready for our New-Look Parish Council

  • Ten-Member council, 9 parishioners and the PP.
  • Meeting monthly nine times a year, with summer and Christmas breaks.
  • Six specific portfolio members, each with a distinct area of responsibility and three elected members to assume areas of responsibility they personally feel equipped for and to communicate to us the views of parishioners.
  • Minutes published after every meeting.

 

The six designated portfolios and leads are:
  • Buildings and Maintenance: Marian McCarthy
  • Finance: Denise Jones
  • Housekeeping and Hospitality: Cristina Dominte
  • Liturgy: Lyn Williams
  • Social: Pat Floate and Bernice Meredith alternating
  • Outreach: Lal Cook

 

So, get thinking, everyone! These six are already on the PC, so can you think of one, two or three parishioners you’d like to vote for to become one of our three “elected members”? No need to ask them: just give us their names, and we will approach the ones who get most votes.
