The whole Parish has been in mourning this week for the loss of two beautiful parishioners. Evan and Ann’s family and friends would like to thank everyone for all the messages of love and support that have been pouring in. Below is the photo of Evan that Katie and James chose to accompany the press release, Evan astride one of Anthony Gormley’s amazing Iron Men on Crosby Beach.
And here is one message we received from a former colleague of Ann’s in the Library Service: “I’ve known Ann ever since we both worked at Library HQ in Hoole Road back in 1969. I last saw her at one of the regular lunch gatherings for retired staff about a month ago. We’re all getting older, with various health problems, but Ann seemed to keep well and was continuing to live an active life. I expected her to last into her 90’s at least, just like her amazing Mum, Mollie”. At 82, Ann had lived a life; at 11, Evan had his life in front of him. Two wonderful parishioners: may they Rest in Peace and Rise to Glory.
Now both on the News-stand, £1 each.

The Mass for the Recently Bereaved held every November was as keenly supported as it always is, with so many messages expressing appreciation and gratitude afterwards. Now we’ve experimented with a “Welcome Back!” Mass for couples married here in the last five years. Nine couples came along and told us afterwards how much they’d valued the occasion. So, let’s run it again next year? Any more “Welcome Back” ideas? Photo of the Week this week features our nine couples renewing their vows. Not a dry eye in the house!
The money raised will go to the families and beneficiaries we support especially during Christmas. We thank you as usual for your generosity and support.
Everyone warmly invited. Let Marco know if you’d like to attend (bububaba05@icloud.com) and contact Fran fran.waldie@gmail.com if you require transport.
