Cardinal Fitzgerald has spent his life on the interface between the Muslim and Christian worlds, in key Vatican appointments and as Papal Nuncio in Egypt and the Arab States. We are delighted and honoured that he has agreed to come here to St Werburgh’s for a talk on the crucial question of how Islam and Christianity relate to each other in both theory and practice, and how both World Faiths might be able to work together to bring peace to a fractured Middle East. Wednesday, 7.30 pm.

An old Mexican tradition, the journey is made with a 7" model of Mary, Joseph and the Donkey being welcomed into the home of parishioners for each day of Advent.
Beginning 1st Sunday of Advent (1st December) when FP invites the first person/family to receive Mary, Joseph and Donkey into their home. The Holy Family stays overnight and is then transported by the host to the next person /family on the rota. To facilitate this, please add your name to the rota at the back of the church, giving your location and telephone number. The arrangements for transfer are made between host families.
