A Red-Letter day in the life of the Parish in every respect. Cardinal Fitzgerald has spent his life on the interface between the Muslim and Christian worlds, both in key Vatican appointments and as Papal Nuncio in Egypt and Papal Delegate to the Arab States. We are delighted and honoured that he has agreed to come here to St Werburgh’s for a talk on the crucial question of how Islam and Christianity relate to each other in both theory and practice, and how both World Faiths might be able to work together to bring peace to a fractured Middle East. Wednesday, 13th November, 7.30 pm.
Lyn chaired an excellent Review on Thursday, looking at every aspect of our musical life together and discussing all the points you raised. Thank you so much for sending them in. You are as delighted with the work of our Choir and Instrumentalists as I am, and we were so grateful for the specific points you raised. A record number turned up for this Review Meeting: thanks, everyone. One request from you has now been agreed: FP to stop singing. Of course, I’m not supposed to have any feelings, am I?...
The one I lend out to people, in the brown leather wallet: anyone forgotten to return it? It still hasn’t turned up.
