Just to repeat, before it becomes only a memory: Bishop Mark’s great affirmation of the fantastic work of the Renewal Steering Group (Pat, Marian, Bernice and Lyn) over the last two years in taking us out of Covid and rebuilding even better and stronger than before.

Caritas Autumn Collection for your Boxes

Sunday 27th October at all three Masses. If you are a box holder, please bring the contents of your box in a strong carrier bag or envelope clearly marked with your name (no foreign coins please.) Gift Aid and Standing Order forms will be available. New Box Holders welcome. Church Library

The library, situated at the back of church, is open to all whenever the church is open. You will find a wide range of books from easy reads to more challenging works. Categories include religious art, biographies, prayers & meditation, homilies, places of pilgrimage, theology, fiction and others. Just help yourselves and return when finished. We regret that we’re unable to accept any more book donations: the shelves are full.

 

“Welcome  Back” Masses

For many years, we have held a “Welcome Back” Mass for families whose Funerals we have celebrated in the last three years, and it’s been extremely well-received and popular. Now the Liturgy Group want to roll this out to the other Sacraments., beginning with a “Welcome Back” to all couples married here in the last five years. Saturday, 9th November, 2.00 pm. All warmly welcome, married six months or sixty years!

First Sunday of each month from October 2024 to May 2025, 2.30 - 4.30 pm. Donations to Save the Family.

Excellent talk last Wednesday from Kathryn Keenan, our Diocesan CAFOD rep, about the inspirational Lampedusa Cross. Thanks also to Liz Aiello, our own Parish CAFOD Rep, for updating us on their work in so many troubled parts of the world. Next Wednesday: Knit and Natter, while I teach Margaret Catterson the intricacies of Bobbin Lace…
