The Chalice will be restored at Sunday Masses from the First Sunday of Advent. Thanks, everyone, for giving us your views.
Thursday 2nd November, 12.15 pm, in the Hospital Chapel. This month Fr Desmond is joining us.
This Mass is for all the staff, patients, patient families, volunteers and parishioners of our area.
If you are able to attend, we would love to welcome you to Holy Mass once a month in the COCH chapel.
Please take a moment to look at the City of Sanctuary banner in the porch. All the pieces on the banner were made by many different people and distributed round the city of Chester in 2022 to celebrate Refugee Week. They try to tell the truth about Sanctuary Seekers, why they come, what they want and need, and how they contribute to our community. Chester City of Sanctuary, part of a National organization, tries to spread this message across the community. In Chester there are several Schools of Sanctuary and a Cathedral of Sanctuary. The local Council, the University, a local church and more schools are preparing submissions.
For children not attending the Parish School and their parents. Tuesday 7th November at 6:30 pm in church. Please could the children bring the following: a folder for their preparation book; a pencil case with coloured pencils and a handwriting pencil; any outstanding Prayer Sponsor slips; a photograph, not too large of your child if you would like it to form part of a display in church. We look forward to seeing you all there.
During Advent, we share the journey of the Holy Family to Bethlehem. They will be represented by an 8-inch statue of Mary, Joseph and their donkey. Each volunteer home will host the Family for one day and one night. These host families can choose a date which is suitable for them and indicate this on the rota, which will be available at the back of church each Sunday in November. Host families will arrange the transfer of Mary and Joseph between themselves. For more information, please take a flyer from the back of church.
GDPR Consent Forms for anyone exercising a Ministry on the Altar, principally Altar Servers, Readers and Eucharistic Ministers, out today, so, please complete and return. Thank you.
