Since their Reception into the Catholic Church at Curzon Park Convent in December 2014, Neill and Marlene have been excellent parishioners here in St Werburgh’s. As most of you know, Neill is one of our wonderful group of “Convert Clergymen” who have enriched our church so much in the last two centuries. His last parish as an Anglican was Vicar of Neston on the Wirral. Since coming into the Catholic Church, Neill has been pursuing with Bishop Mark the question of Ordination as a Catholic Priest, and we were all delighted this week to hear that the necessary permissions have just come through from Rome for Neill to be ordained. Bishop Mark would like to ordain him here in St Werburgh’s on Friday 31st May at 7.00 pm. A wonderful gift for Neill, for our Parish and for the Church. Please keep him and Marlene very much in your prayers in these coming weeks.
